Four Tet – 128 Harps

Super new. Sorry we’re super busy. Be back soon. Promise.
Flosstradamus – Diplo & Friends BBC Mix

Summer is here, it’s safe to say. Here’s a little something to bump through your ghetto blasters at the local pool party / barbecue / skate spot / beach plot / backyard hangout. Two hours of mellow party tracks with all the bass and all the detail we’ve come to expect from Floss. Listen below, and grab a free download while you can – if they run out soon we’ll re-up it here. Now go enjoy the weather.

I Suck at Life but Port St. Willow Doesn’t!

(Skip this paragraph if you don’t care about my life): It’s that time of the term again where I go incognito, live in the library consuming nothing but coffee, reese’s puffs, and donuts, sleep an average of two hours a night, and leave Lynden to do all the posting. Midterms are over though! I’ve got two final art projects I’m working on the next few weeks but other than those I’ve got a little more free time until finals. I highly doubt a single one of you cares.
When the vocals came in on “Hollow” I completely stopped what I was doing to give Port St. Willow my undivided attention. I really think they deserve yours as well – overall this a nice, mellow, dreamy listen that doesn’t get boring. Just what I needed. You can hear the whole album right here and put it on your iPhone / iPod / CDs / cassette / LaserDisc for just $7. If you love them, let them know. Hope all is well out there, and again, sorry for my absence. Luh u guise <3
UNLIMITED FREE MILKSHAKES!

I’ve been meaning to post this for a little while now, but schoolwork and work work have been making that hard. I do apologize for my absence. We’re not going anywhere, we’re just busy sometimes. Still love you. Here are some songs to prove it.
Lynden just posted about Ricky Eat Acid, so I feel that now’s as good a time as any to introduce you to Unlimited Free Milkshakes, a new label headed by Sam (Ricky Eat Acid) and Jasmine (jasminezoo). The name itself gives you a pretty good idea of what they’re all about: simple songs, gooey vibey vibes, hugs, kisses, milkshakes, dancing, and cute emoticons. Sometimes the emoticons dance too.
(>^o^)> <(^o^<) (>^o^)> <(^o^<) (>^o^)> <(^o^<) (>^o^)> <(^o^<)
I’m all about this… the beauty really is in the simplicity. Making songs just to make songs. Sometimes they’re sad because you’re sad, sometimes they’re happy because you’re happy, and sometimes they’re just silly because you want to act like a goon. Sometimes you’re lazy, record eight tracks with a MacBook microphone, and distort the shit out of it. Sometimes you’re not, and end up with something very unique and full of emotion. I’m rambling because this computational science lecture is incredibly boring.
Have a listen for yourself.
Here’s their latest release, a (free) compilation in honor of art week that you can pick up for $7 if you want to perpetuate da lurvz <3
Cute Boy Kissing Booth was the first release I heard from the label, and I love the concept of it:
“A pop/sound art album written and recorded while on Spring break. The original idea for the project was to set every project and obligation I had aside and just write and record music constantly. There would be no rules and no limitations, beyond the time-limit. I did just that.”
Dive into it, download it for free if you love the feelz (or throw them $7 because reasons).
I love you guys, I hope you didn’t lose faith in us. We’ll be around for a long time and we’ll keep posting what we, and hopefully you, love to see and hear. We tend to post a lot of stuff on our Facebook page if you’d like a little more neighborhood in your life. Be well all.
New Find: Hazy Memories

I was listening to Lapalux‘s XLR8R Podcast last night and heard the lovely track “I Got You” for the first time. Minimal bassy electronic soul goodness. Check him out, then give the podcast a listen. Keep up with Hazy Memories on Facebook and head over to XLR8R to download Lapalux’s podcast for free.

New Release: Purity Ring – “Obedear”
This just dropped tonight, if you’re loving it head over to their site to pick it up for free. The upcoming debut album “Shrines” is out 7/24 and I’m definitely excited about it.
Teams – “Glow Fam” featuring Dick Models

Don’t worry, I also chuckled after reading Dick Models, but they’ve got some pretty great tracks. Check out Dick Models’ recent collaboration with LA based Teams and hear more from the disco/slow dance/electro/fashion/house producer Dick Models over at Bandcamp. It’s still amusing. Dick Models. Happy Saturday.
MellowHigh (Domo and Hodgy) – “Go”

Happy holidaze, if that’s your thing. Here’s a gift from some of the OF dudes, Domo and Hodgy. Click here to download.
New Find: Munno – “Early Idle”

Thirty seconds into the first track and I was sold. That Sufjan sample melted my heart, and it only gets better. The Coco Rosie sample on “Hard to Tell” was another pleasant surprise. Give this guy a listen, pay what you want for a download, and keep in touch as I’m sure he’ll be dropping some amazing tracks in the future. This one is definitely worth your time. I’ve listened to “Mine” at least 20 times today. Just saying.
