UNLIMITED FREE MILKSHAKES!

I’ve been meaning to post this for a little while now, but schoolwork and work work have been making that hard. I do apologize for my absence. We’re not going anywhere, we’re just busy sometimes. Still love you. Here are some songs to prove it.
Lynden just posted about Ricky Eat Acid, so I feel that now’s as good a time as any to introduce you to Unlimited Free Milkshakes, a new label headed by Sam (Ricky Eat Acid) and Jasmine (jasminezoo). The name itself gives you a pretty good idea of what they’re all about: simple songs, gooey vibey vibes, hugs, kisses, milkshakes, dancing, and cute emoticons. Sometimes the emoticons dance too.
(>^o^)> <(^o^<) (>^o^)> <(^o^<) (>^o^)> <(^o^<) (>^o^)> <(^o^<)
I’m all about this… the beauty really is in the simplicity. Making songs just to make songs. Sometimes they’re sad because you’re sad, sometimes they’re happy because you’re happy, and sometimes they’re just silly because you want to act like a goon. Sometimes you’re lazy, record eight tracks with a MacBook microphone, and distort the shit out of it. Sometimes you’re not, and end up with something very unique and full of emotion. I’m rambling because this computational science lecture is incredibly boring.
Have a listen for yourself.
Here’s their latest release, a (free) compilation in honor of art week that you can pick up for $7 if you want to perpetuate da lurvz <3
Cute Boy Kissing Booth was the first release I heard from the label, and I love the concept of it:
“A pop/sound art album written and recorded while on Spring break. The original idea for the project was to set every project and obligation I had aside and just write and record music constantly. There would be no rules and no limitations, beyond the time-limit. I did just that.”
Dive into it, download it for free if you love the feelz (or throw them $7 because reasons).
I love you guys, I hope you didn’t lose faith in us. We’ll be around for a long time and we’ll keep posting what we, and hopefully you, love to see and hear. We tend to post a lot of stuff on our Facebook page if you’d like a little more neighborhood in your life. Be well all.
Boneglow // Delusions Split
This isn’t just another dreamy beat tape; the vocal and guitar work on this split really got me. Boneglow is Peter Wiley (@subvader), Delusions is Matt Gilles (@staymellows), and they’re both doing great things. Fthrsn, one of our personal favorites, is also featured on this split so be sure to give these guys a listen. If you’re enjoying this as much as I am, feel free to download it at whatever price you see fit.
Neighborhood Watch: Gremlins
Gremlins consists of Mat Cothran (Coma Cinema, Elvis Depressedly), Patrick Jeffords (Toro y Moi, Kid Trails), Sam Ray (Ricky Eat Acid) and Katie Lee (Braids). It sounds exactly like you picture it sounding. As for now their only release is an album with 5 songs. It’s a bit like this: hazy beats, slanky bass lines, glo-fi synths. Listen below and download the album.

Abadabad & Stoner Showers – “Makeout Beach” Split
I’m going to end up listening to surfy summer jams all throughout winter, rather than the usual onslaught of emotional lock-myself-in-a-hunting-cabin-and-make-something-beautiful wave. I’m alright with that, though. Makeout Beach is the most recent release from Abadabad and Stoner Showers, out on Chill Mega Chill. Hailing from Brooklyn, Abadabad doesn’t seem to have any trouble creating a west coast summer vibe with some classic sounding riffs, a little reverb, and vocals that will have you humming long after you’ve turned them off. Following a Yalls remix of one of their tracks is Stoner Showers, a sort of lo-fi 80′s contemporary adult chillwave radio sounding group from Hawaii that I can’t get enough of – you’ll see what I mean upon listening. Hear the entire album right here, and name your price if you’d like to download.
As always, be sure to keep in touch.
