Neighborhood Watch: Selebrities
For fans of Kavinsky, College, or the entire Drive soundtrack it’s time you are informed of Selebrities. On their website they define themselves as “voguish summertime goth” and quite honestly it couldn’t be described any better. The Brooklyn three-piece (Maria Usbeck, Jer Robert Paulin, and Max Peterson) will be taking off on a month long European tour at the end of this month so give them a listen and wish them safe travels. Here is their latest single ‘Night Heat’ which will be dropping on a 7″ under the same title through Cascine. Video and track below.
Movie: Drive
Drive is a story about gangsters, gore, cars, and of course for the ladies…Ryan Gosling. I highly recommend it to everyone except your parents, they might not approve. There are a few very gorey scenes that even make Quentin Tarantino fans heads swing. Great storyline with a great ending you don’t expect.
The soundtrack also includes a few great tunes that really spice up the film.
Kavinsky feat. Lovefoxxx (of CSS)- “Night Call”
Desire- “Under your Spell”
College- “A Real Hero (feat. Electric Youth)”
The Chromatics- “Tick of the Clock” (once you see the film, this track makes sense)
Cliff Martinez finishes off the score with his own works that give a great feel. Go see the movie, you won’t regret it!
